A little about me...

Vena M. Wilson, Individual Therapist Las Vegas, NVFor the past 12 years, I have enjoyed being a therapist in the Las Vegas metropolitan. My work has led me to interact with many different kinds of people, but my greatest delights come from working with teens.

Many people share that the teen years are super-stressful. For me, helping teenagers learn how to manage their feelings and how to express themselves in a healthy way has been one of my life’s great joys.

If you’re struggling either with your child or in your role as a parent, I can help. My work includes providing support and therapy for families, parents, and teens. Please reach out when you’re ready.

Payment and Reimbursement

I work with self-pay clients and am able to accept the following method of payment for services rendered:

American Express, Cash, Discover, Mastercard, and Visa.

I am an out-of-network provider as I do not have any active contracts with insurance companies. If you have insurance and would like to work with me, do not fret! I am able to provide a ‘super bill’ that allows you to seek reimbursement directly from your insurance provider after receiving services.

It is important to note the client or their guardian, is responsible for payment at the time that the service is provided.

Individual Therapy is a setting that allows you to work on concerns one-on-one. Therapy sessions typically last 45 to 60 minutes and are scheduled weekly or bi-weekly, depending on your needs.

Learn more about individual therapy and please share with me how I can best support you when we meet.

Parent consultations are for families who need to learn how to communicate with greater respect and care for each other. Parents with challenging kids often feel confused about the best ways to teach basic skills like respectful communication, mutual validation, boundaries, and good listening skills.

When you consult with me, I will teach you the core skills to lead your family by example instead of by reaction or intense feelings. Learn how it works.

Parents, teens and families each need support when a child has begun to engage in risky behaviors. Parents are understandably frightened and concerned and need support. Teens often feel layers of fear when the truth of their behavior comes out.

Working with me will help you understand what is happening, how to gain the right kind of support for your child, and how to move on positively as a family. Read on to learn how to get started.

Family Therapy is often needed when one member of a family feels misunderstood and this experience causes the whole family unit to feel out of alignment.

In family therapy, participants learn methods to enhance their communication, improve the quality of their relationships, by practicing “mindfully” spending time with their loved ones.

Learn more so you can start reducing the conflict and stress in your family and move into greater harmony today.
