On this episode, I am joined by fellow LCSW, Denise Rice as we discuss a listener question from a an uncle who recently became the legal guardian to his 11 year old nephew. Even if you are not trying to integrate a child into your family you may still benefit from learning ways to support young people who are suffering grief, trauma or neglect. Denise has been collaborating, training, supporting, and partnering with those in Child Welfare and Mental Health for over 18 years. She currently works as a Crisis Assessment Specialist in the emergency department for Penrose-St. Francis Hospital, is an adjunct faculty at the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work and a contract trainer for The Adoption Exchange and AspenPointe.
